Inaugural CJF Artist Residency, Tannersville, NY
Led by Aaron Diehl with Paul Sikivie, Lawrence Leathers, Dominick Farinacci, Joe Lovano, Charenee Wade, Barry Stephenson, Alphonso Horne, Chris Pattishall, Caleb Curtis, Adam Coté, Kenny Pexton
The Catskill Jazz Factory was founded in 2012 and kicked off with an inaugural summer artist residency based in its hometown Catskills village of Tannersville, NY. A blow-out weekend of educational workshops, masterclasses and performances for the community concluded with the sold-out Live at the Orpheum led by CJF’s founding Artistic Director, pianist Aaron Diehl. The year concluded with the first of what would become many seasons of educational outreach, this season led by Aaron Diehl and Alvin Atkinson for Kingston City School District in anticipation of CJF’s 2013 Kingston Swings.
