2015
Catskill Jazz Factory significantly increased its programming capacity between 2014 and 2015, settling into a year-round event calendar filled with multiple artist residencies and the world premiere of new, specially commissioned CJF projects at venues across the Hudson Valley. Artists that worked with CJF since its founding in 2012 served as the backbone of our residency projects with 2015 lead artists including Walking Distance, Etienne Charles, and Chris Washburne. Our pillar event for the year was a Centennial Tribute to Billie Holiday at the Sosnoff Theater, Fisher Center at Bard College, featuring the Aaron Diehl Trio with Cécile McLorin Salvant and various special guests. Other special CJF commissions for 2015 included Standards Old, New & Blue with the Steven Feifke Big Band and Pops & Piano with Alphonso Horne and Chris Pattishall.
