2019
Our last full season of programming, 2019 saw CJF original commissions enter into the international touring and festival market, a major breakthrough for an organization of humble Catskills origins. CJF’s final series with the Fisher Center at Bard College included a sold-out spring series Sound the Trumpet featuring performances featuring Keyon Harrold, Etienne Charles, and Linda Briceño, and a summer Spiegeltent series themed on Singers & Songbooks. The pillar program of 2019 was our summer finale The Spirit of Harlem tour, spanning from Tannersville to NYC to Florence, Italy and concluding with a sold-out world premiere with string orchestra at the Palazzo Corsini for New Generation Festival. New regional venues for 2019 included Hudson Hall, PS21 Chatham, and Radio Woodstock’s Utopia Soundstage.
