Tracing the lineage of jazz guitar, this program spotlights six major figures of jazz guitar: Eddie Lang, Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhardt, The Modern Big Three (Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell, and John Scofield), and Toninho Horta, with performances of pieces composed by and influential to these figures as well as new original works inspired by these innovators of the instrument.

Six Strings, Six Stories features in a rare duo setting, guitarists Alex Wintz and Gabe Schnider, recent graduates of The Juilliard School whom are rapidly rising through the ranks of the international jazz community. This duo is joined by songstress Martina DaSilva, who has received high praise for her performances at the Bern International Jazz Festival, Blue Note Jazz Festival, NYC Hot Jazz Festival, Jazz At Lincoln Center’s Generations in Jazz Festival, and the NY Winter Jazzfest.
