The Man Who Fell to Earth

  • Brooklyn Museum 200 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

Catskill Jazz Factory is excited to pair up with Little Cinema at Brooklyn Museum to remix and reimagine the sci-fi masterpiece The Man Who Fell to Earth (Nicolas Roeg, 1976, 140 min.) in this multimedia screening. The film features David Bowie in his acting debut as Thomas Jerome Newton, an alien who has come to Earth in search of water to save his home planet. It has gone on to develop a cult following for its surreal imagery and Bowie's command performance.

This special evening features live music by Jason Lindner, Mark Guiliana, and Tim Lefebvre, who recorded and collaborated on Bowie’s final album, Blackstar (2016). Little Cinema brings its signature flair with video mixing by CHNNLS (Jay Rinsky) and dance by Katherine Crockett. Drop by before the performance to see David Bowie is and get in the spirit of the evening.

Tickets are $20 and include Museum general admission. Purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately.

This program is presented in partnership with Little Cinema, an immersive theater company blending cinema and live performance in new and creative ways.
